Dear Minnick Web Services friends, family, clients, and other interested people:
My latest book, which I co-authored with my good friend Ed Tittel is out now!
The title of the book is Beginning HTML5 and CSS3 For Dummies. This being my second For Dummies book, and Ed’s 20th (at least), I find myself once again pondering the “Dummies” part of the title and what makes “For Dummies” books so popular.
We’re all dummies at something, or many things. In web development, in particular, if you don’t update your skills constantly, you’re a “big dummy,” as Fred Sanford might say. Click on the picture above to see him say that.
This book will teach dummies how to create websites. If you’re not a dummy, don’t buy the book, you’ll hate it. If you are a dummy, however, you will love this book. Here are a few of the things that you’ll learn:
- How to create the structure of a web page with HTML
- How to use images and multimedia in your web pages
- How to create links in web pages
- How to use CSS to make your pages look great
- How to use typography on the web
- How to use CSS3′s new properties to do advanced text and shadow effects
- How to optimize your web pages for mobile devices
- and much much more!
Have a great day!
Sincerely,
Chris Minnick
